Fireplace… an amalgamation of ancient and modern touch

Winter nights at higher altitude are cold and people take different methods to keep themselves warm. Commonly, it is the fireplace which was used for making the rooms warm. The fireplace used wood burning stove since 17th century only. Then the shapes and the sizes of these wood burning stoves got modified with a metal box, kept in the fire place, where the house chimney can be used for escaping the fumes of the fire. Later this stove was assisted by inbuilt chimney’s, which helped the home people to place the stove anywhere in the room giving an advantage.

Now coming to the disadvantage of this wood burning stove may be enumerated as below:


1) People became aware that the wood burning was not in favour of nature conservation, and forests are going vacant because of this cutting of trees.


2)The The gases which come out due to burning of this wood, causes air pollution and hence harm all living beings as the way other.


3) For wood burn, the wood has to be piled, kindled and cleaned, which was a laborious work and cannot compete with instant start stove in modern days.


Now comes the natural gas fireplace. It’s the most beneficial, because it gives even warmth throughout the room and also in its duration. No carrying debris, or piling up woods for kindling the fire, which is really to be thanked about.


The natural gas fireplace is safe for pollution, safe for children, safe for styling the interior and they can be operated by a remote nowadays.


To end with, the best family time is spend, when all the family members do have a nice gossip time around this fireplace, irrespective of the procedure.
